About Me
Keith Jackson was born on April 19, 1965, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Keith has been making a difference and impact on the city, state, and nation since he was a young boy.
Beginning with the Sunset Tigers at nine years old, Keith proved he was not your average athlete as he dominated the football field. His skills and tenacity to succeed led him through Parkview High School as a three-sport letterman and Parade All-American, college at the University of Oklahoma on a full-ride scholarship, earning All-Big Eight three times, and Athletic All-American twice, then on to the N.F.L. where he flourished as soon as his feet touched the turf in 1988 with the Philadelphia Eagles.
His nine-year career with the Eagles, Miami Dolphins, and Green Bay Packers was wrought with achievements. Keith was named the N.F.C. Offensive Rookie of the Year, Marlboro/The Sporting News NFL Rookie of the Year, and the only first-year player to be selected by the N.F.L. for the Pro Bowl. He was selected for the Pro Bowl five times and assisted the Packers in their Super Bowl XXXI win in 1996.
Keith retired after earning his Super Bowl ring in 1997. However, several years before retiring, Keith saw a need to help the underserved and at-risk kids of Little Rock who needed a haven from the vulnerabilities of the streets. In 1992, that necessity birthed P.A.R.K. Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids, a year-round after-school and summer program free to qualifying students. Now in its 28th year of reaching and changing student’s lives, Keith is still putting his time, money, and fundraising energy into the program and the kids. He makes an effort to have a connection with each student.
Combining his Communication Degree and his professional playing experience, Keith became a broadcast analyst with T.N.T. sports television for one year. He worked as an analyst for the Sooner Sports Radio Network in 1998, Fox Sports Network in 1999, and a color analyst for the Arkansas Razororback Sports Network from 2000-2017.
Keith’s impact on the city and state has been remarkable. Many call upon him to share his vision of P.A.R.K. and his wisdom on other matters. Nowadays, he speaks to companies, foundations, civic groups, and more with Keith Jackson 88 – Motivating the Masses. Keith’s crowd approach is welcoming, witty, and very informative.
Keith is a very proud, spiritual and faith-filled family man, giving and focusing most of his energy on his wife, sons, and grands. He is also an active Omega Psi Phi fraternity member.
